    From then to now...

J&P Ink and Thread started in 1985 as a branch off of J&P Sporting Goods.  Joe and Pat (J&P) Bertossi were local residents and entrepreneurs who decided to be pioneers in the silk screen and embroidery business in West Branch.

Their daughter Brenda eventually purchased the business from her parents in 1995 and moved the silk screening and embroidery to a downtown location, increasing the potential for traffic.

In February of 2005, Brenda's husband accepted a position which would mean they needed to relocate to Colorado, and Ken and Melissa Hayes purchased the business.

Linda Kotrys and her husband Kim moved to West Branch in 2004 from Canton Michigan and joined Ken & Melissa and the J & P Ink and Thread family in 2006.  In 2007 Linda decided to pursue the prospect of owning her own business and was able to purchase J & P Ink and Thread from Ken and Melissa in May of 2008, and has since changed the name to Ink & Thread, Inc.

Linda loves her work and the ability to use her education in Computer Graphics. Family is a huge part of Ink & Thread. Mark, Linda's son in law, helps make the business what it is today with his talent of bringing images to life and printing them on shirts. He is continuing his education in art, computer graphics and photography so as to bring an even more exciting future to Ink & Thread. Linda's daughter Kim brings her organizational skills and great customer service to the business when needed and her three children help when they can.

Family is an important part of Ink and Thread
